Iptv System Ideas For HalloweenThe advent of IP networks and the increased availability of broadband access created a new vehicle for the distribution of TV services. The details of both the IPTV Application Server and the IPTV Client prototypical implementations are described, as well as the results of field tests carried out across different Fixed and Mobile access networks for each of the signaling structures. The next big step is to serve stereoscopic video over IP networks. In this paper, we evaluate the stereoscopic video transmission over IP by taking measurements of the bandwidth, delay and jitter. These measurements are useful to test the QoS and QoE of the ITPV service and to demonstrate the need for high-performance stereoscopic compression codecs. The algorithm is based on the empirical data obtained from our test and on some analytical considerations.
